DIY Heart Wreaths & Hangers
Here are a few heart-shaped ideas. Two heart wreaths and two door hangers that you can make.
Vintage Hanging Heart
This vintage-looking hanging heart looks like it is old because of its shabby chic style. But is really made with an unfinished wooden heart sign and a sheet of scrapbook paper plus a few pieces of scrap ribbon.
Grapevine Heart Wreath
For this sweet one, I used grapevine garland to create the heart shape for the base of this wreath. Then used delicate greenery and small pink flower stems around the wreath and finished off with a few larger peony flowers. This is a Pinterest favorite!
Moss Hanging Hearts
If you are drawn to more natural-looking designs then you will love this triple grapevine heart moss door hanger. The fresh green look of this one means that it will work not only for Valentine’s Day but also for the Spring months. Another option would be to use small round grapevine wreaths.
Wooden Heart Wreath
My latest wreath. I was trying to think outside the box and create a new take on the heart wreath. This one starts out with a wire heart wreath frame and then I hot glued multiple sizes of unfinished wooden heart pieces. I love the 3D effect. To soften the look I used flowing chiffon ribbons to make a bow at the top.

Patriotic Summer Door Basket
Instead of making a wreath, you could hang a basket on your door. I have 2 doors on the front of the house so I usually hang a wreath on the front door and use a hanging basket at the garage entrance.
Red and white flowers finished off with an assortment of patriotic ribbons.
Patriotic Ribbon Flag
This was a new one for me! I had never made a ribbon flag before and I absolutely loved this one! It was the perfect accent for our patio space and I got so many compliments on it. Super easy to make even for my non-crafty friends…if you can tie a knot you can make this one!!

Fall Garden Wreath
For my last dried flower wreath I opted for a twig wreath as the base. This time I added quail feathers and chiffon ribbon plus a few pieces of dried wheat.
Dried Hydrangea & Pumpkin Wreath
Mixed it up by using a square wire wreath frame for this one. I had a hearty supply of hydrangea flowers this year that I had dried out. This wreath was under $10 to make for the mini foam pumpkins and the wreath frame. Plus is super quick to put together.
Winter Wreaths

Snowflake Salt Dough Wreath
I know, they aren’t gingerbread cookies at all!! I used cinnamon salt dough and a set of snowflake cookie cutters…then white puffy paint for the “icing”
Grocery Store Wreath
I spruced up an $11 Trader Joe’s wreath. Try this yourself on a plain wreath. Add a few red berry sprigs, pine cones, and a pretty seasonal bow…bonus if you can find a grapevine deer head or another natural-looking seasonal animal head for the center of the wreath. A small owl would look fantastic too.

Another fun holiday idea is to make a fresh herb swag to hang in your kitchen or to give as a hostess gift. I found everything in the produce dept too!
Modern Jingle Bell Wreath
This wreath was inspired by an expensive wreath that I had seen in the Arhaus catalog. I spray-painted different sized jingle bells with modern-looking metallic paint colors. This looks very upscale mixed in with your holiday decor.
