Welcome to my Weekly Rewind. This is my online magazine where I get to share more behind-the-scenes, new things I’ve come across that I think you will like, and fantastic ideas and projects from the web.
What’s Been Happening
I’ll be honest, this time of year is hard for me!! I’m getting the gardening itch and can’t wait for Spring to get here! I need more daylight… and less dark at 6 and in my jammies!!!
We did have the most beautiful storybook snowfall on Friday. I couldn’t stop staring out my windows…I kept getting distracted sitting here at my desk and looking at the tall pines in the backyard covered with snow.
I know that the combination of living in a cold climate plus the dry air indoors can really take a toll on our faces! I have 2 ride-or-die moisturizers that I can not live without. Bonus, there aren’t terribly expensive and are super hydrating. I order them both from Amazon (I have ordered the Hada Labo over 30 times over the years!!)
Family Favorite
This Lemon Loaf Cake is my youngest son’s most requested recipe!! It’s made with a box of cake mix plus a few other ingredients…and bonus, it makes 2 loaves!! But it uses 4 eggs…which is about a zillion dollars right now!!

This week my thrifting gal-pals Stacy and Kim also have some fun stuff to share with you on their thrifting excursions.
wooden heart wreath
Looking for a new wreath to make?? I made a neat looking heart-shaped wreath this week.
Botanical Print Clay Hearts
Another pretty DIY project that I published this week was a tutorial on how to make botanical imprint clay hearts. You could use them as a single ornament or gather them into a bunch and hang them.
Around the Web
Look at how beautiful this wreath is. Would you believe it’s made with pinecones??!!!!
I’m obsessed with these paper flowers that Rachel made. I love that she used book pages.
Renae has another pretty heart themed DIY project: make a heart shaped topiary. Wouldn’t that look nice next to your sink?
It’s time to start thinking about your garden for this year! Check out Johnny’s Select Seeds Digital Catalog to virtually flip through the pages of this year’s selection. This Maine farm has great seeds and I have such good results from the seeds I have bought over the past years.
