The Weekly Rewind is where I get to share what has been going on behind the scenes, things I’ve seen while out shopping that I think you would all like, and inspiring pictures and projects from around the web.
What’s Been Happening
Hi friends!! It’s been a busy couple of weeks around Bunker Hill! I’ve been working outside from morning ’til night it feels like!! My vegetable garden and cut flower garden are all planted (for the most part) all I have left are a few big planter pots that I will also grow cut flowers in.
One fun thing we did this week is to take a ride a little way up the coast and stopped in Kittery, Maine at the outlets. If you are a Loft Outlet fan and have one close to you…run, because they were jam-packed with adorable Summer clothes!
After we shopped at the outlets for a bit we headed to the next town up the coast, York, to visit the new Stonewall Kitchen home decor store. Stonewall Kitchen is headquartered here and there’s a large retail store with all those yummy jams and sauces they are known for, a little cafe, and now a home store.
The shop is filled with everything from vases to cutting boards…honestly, I couldn’t believe how many different products they had in this pretty spot. Even my husband had fun exploring…and didn’t leave to wait in the car…LOL!!!
I ended up leaving with this rusted garden trowel dish…not sure what I will display in it but I just thought it was so interesting.
Of course, we had to go over to the main store too! Do you have a favorite Stonewall Kitchen product??? Mine is the Wild Maine Blueberry Jam.
One other stop you have to make if you are ever up in York, Maine is the Nubble Lighthouse. It was such a gray dreary day but as we drove down the road leading to the lighthouse there was blue sky surrounding it!! I was psyched…I needed my dose of salt air and sunshine!!
And the beach roses were just starting to bloom…
Lately On The Blog
OK, I am 100% ready for Summer here in New England!! I have my list of places I want to visit…but truth be told I love hanging out right here at home!!! This week I made some new projects to hang on my doors. I have 2 doors on the front of the house..the garage entrance and the front door…so of course, I had to make 2 new things!!!
I’m all about the red, white, and blue this year…
Patriotic Rag Wreath
Wait until you see what I made with this pile of rags…spoiler..it came out so pretty!! So check out this patriotic rag wreath!!
Pretty Summer Door Basket
This was a 5-minute project but looks so nice when pulling into our driveway!! These dark red poppies from Michael’s are really pretty and add such a pop of color to my white garage entryway door.

“Sea Glass” Bead Garland
I love how this project turned out! You know I love a good Pottery Barn knock-off…so I tried to DIY their sea glass rope garland that they are selling this season. Check out this fun DIY project!
Upcoming On Bunker Hill…
Stay tuned because I will be sharing what’s been going on in my garden, the new kitchen garden I added on my back patio, the June Thrifty Style Team blog hop (all about Summer), the big Summer Bloggers’ Best Home Tours (I just love, love visiting all the homes on these blog hops…so many talented gals!) & so much more!!
What I Loved This Week…
I just love this garden idea from Stacy at Bricks N Blooms...not only does it give me all the English Garden vibes but it’s a super smart idea!
Speaking of English Gardens…I’ve obviously been watching too many YouTube episodes of English gardeners because I had a dream the other night that I had cute hedgehogs running around my garden (I was so sad when I woke up!)
Stop by Worthing Court and check out Suzy’s tips for Creating the Small Front Porch of Your Dreams…(my porch was included!!)
Do yourself a favor and do a virtual stroll of Kim at Shiplap & Shells latest garden tour… so beautiful!!!!
I LOVE spinach salads…and I love mandarins…so I will definitely be making this Spinach Salad with Mandarin Oranges recipe from Lynne at My Family Thyme.
Here’s a great option for your front door for Summer! I love that Jen used real flowers in her Patriotic Door Basket.
Have a great week!! Thanks for spending a few minutes with me today
