The Cottage on Bunker Hill weekly rewind is my online magazine where I get to share some fun things that I’ve been up to, the latest goings on over on the blog, and upcoming projects and events.
What’s New This Week
It’s crazy that Labor Day weekend seems to be rushing towards us!! I’m trying to capture every last drop of Summer!!
I did see a couple of trees around me that had sections where the leaves had already turned…
This weekend we took a road trip over to Vermont to visit Stacy from Bricks N Blooms at their vacation cabin. We had such a great day out on their boat! It was an absolutely perfect New England Summer day..blue skies and puffy clouds!!!!

Visiting Vermont
Isn’t the view gorgeous!! What a relaxing way to spend the day.
Do you prefer lakes or the ocean?? That was the debate. My husband loves lakes and I am a certified beach bum!! Although I prefer boating on lakes…the ocean can be so bumpy!!
Grand Opening
On Sunday I went to the grand opening weekend at my friend Lee Vose’s new store in Amesbury, MA.
Her shop is called Lee & Co. and is located at 7 Market Square right in that cute downtown area of Amesbury.
The downtown is all restored mill buildings made of brick and is charming…and bustling with all kinds of shops and eateries.
Lee always has the best mix of vintage and new pieces! I have so many pieces that I’ve purchased from her over the years at vintage bazaars and the different spots she has had booths.
I’m super excited for her on taking this big leap! I’ll have an entire post about Lee and her shop coming soon!!
Walmart Finds
Stopped by my local Walmart to do some restocking this weekend…you can’t imagine how much cereal a teenage boy can throw back in a week (unless you have a teen boy!!)
Walmart has started bringing in some great new home decor merch for the Fall season!
This week I checked out the table linen/dish aisle and the lamps.
My favorite find was this Better Homes & Gardens Reactive Glaze Lamp Base for $37.88 it has the same tone and vibe as this $349 Pottery Barn ceramic lamp.
They have really stepped up their tabletop game too!! You can now find super stylish napkins, tablecloths, table runners, placemats, & napkin rings!
You know that there’s nothing that I love more than to find affordable yet stylish stuff for you all!!
One great new option is this 13-piece dining set that has all the things! The soft neutral colors will work for different seasons as well and the set is under $36.
On the Blog…
flea market flip
Did you see the flea market flip vase that I did?? I turned a $5 ugly vase into something you would see selling on Pottery Barn or Terrain for hundreds!!!
dried wreath
My latest wreath was inspired by one that I spotted on the Crate & Barrel website selling for close to $100! Loved it but knew that I could do an affordable dupe..and save a wallet full of cash!!
trending this week on Pinterest
It seems everyone is looking for simple & affordable ideas for Fall decorating this week!! My Dollar Tree Fall Garland was my most popular post for the week…easy to make with a few Dollar Tree Fall items! It can be customized to fit your color scheme too!
