Ooooh, I love decorating my front porch for Fall! It’s one of my favorite things to do, There’s something about the pumpkins and the colors that just make me so happy! I started with a clean slate and gave the porch a good cleaning…adios spiders and stink bugs (sidenote: do you have a stink bug invasion in the Fall where you live? They are nasty looking things!!) Then I was ready to decorate my Fall front porch for 2020.
Starting with an empty porch…

…and here’s my new Fall front porch for 2020!!

Here’s the details
I hung up a sign that I made awhile back. You can make one too! Pop over to Ella Claire & Co. and she has the complete tutorial that I followed and even the free template!! (Love free!!) You can find her tutorial here

My planters are from Costco (under $20 and amazingly beautiful, so stop reading and get over there!!) They even had to branches in them already.
I’ve had the antique wood farm crate for eons and have used it for countless displays. See here for a different Fall display. It made the perfect little home for a stack of pretty pumpkins. I just love all the cool looking pumpkins available now. I grabbed all of mine from Trader Joe’s for $7.99/ea.
Secret between you and me…the top pumpkin is a fraud, a phony, a foam!! None of my real pumpkins could fit and the fake one fits in so tightly that I don’t have to worry about the tower toppling over!

Costco really filled their planters with such a cool variety of plants!

door mat
My go-to store for all my mats is the Christmas Tree Shops. Their mats are $6.99 and they always have great ones for every season. I stalked the store until they starting putting out their Fall merch in August and grabbed all my mats for the season…you should have seen me moving stacks of these heavy coir mats to find my “H”!! I worked up a sweat, but hey I finally found it!!

Fall front door wreath
I’ve had this wreath for a few years. It’s from the Valerie Parr Hill line at QVC…I have so many wreaths from her and every single one is high quality and beautiful. I love to make wreaths but sometimes it’s nice to be able to pull one right out of the box!!
I added the buffalo checked ribbon to it.
Here’s this year’s wreath from the line.

Now for the stairs
I bought 2 of these rustic looking lanterns from Walmart. They are from the Better Homes and Gardens line and are so tall and gorgeous! Here’s the link.
The flameless outdoor candles I got are a tad too big but look really pretty at night…I should have bought the 8 in candles instead.

I placed the lanterns on different stairs on each side- on the top landing on the left and on the first stair on the opposite side.
Then I added my fantasy pumpkins and a couple of small orange ones.

I had a bag of jack be littles but I didn’t like how they looked next to the fantasy pumpkins so I gave them a little chalk paint makeover…I wonder what my neighbors think while I’m sitting on the stairs painting pumpkins!!
But hey, I like them so much better now!!

Final little details
I went into my backyard and cut some berry vines and berry springs, I intertwined the vines with a small garland above my sign; and tucked the in a few springs down the stairs.

Around the door I put a grapevine garland and tied small pieces of buffalo check ribbon around it.
Here she is in all her Fall glory!! Notice my open window…it was like 77 out!!

It definitely feels like Fall around here now!!

Danielle- thank you so much!!!
Your fall porch looks gorgeous! I would never have known that the top pumpkin on your trio was faux if you hadn’t told us.
It did make that gross styrofoam noise when I shoved it in there though!!
Jennifer – I love your fall porch! So many thoughtful touches and it looks beautiful! My niece and I are headed to a wonderful nursery today for pumpkins. You’ve given me a lot of inspiration on how to incorporate them into my porch and entry. It’s in the 90’s today, but I can’t wait forever, right?! xo
Thanks,Juliet! It’s been super warm in NH too; it was 80° when I was decorating my porch and I had the ACs on yesterday! Have fun decorating!
Such a cozy pretty area!
Thanks Linda!
