I want to thank each and every one of you that have visited my site, pinned one of my projects, or made one of my recipes! I’ve loved reading your encouraging messages and kind comments…they mean the world to me.
What started out as a creative outlet for me has grown into a second job that I love! You have to love it to open up your laptop at 4 am just to get a couple of hours of blogging work done before your day starts.
Today I’m doing a recap of my top 10 blog posts 0f 2020. You all really like my craft projects, for sure!!
#10- Foraged Wreath
This picture makes me miss my garden so much!! I put this together in October as my garden was winding down for the season. I can’t wait for the Spring…seriously, planning my garden is the only reason I can make it through gloomy February in New Hampshire!!
#9 How To Get Rid Of Fruit Flies
Hey, not the most glamorous topic!! Aren’t they the most annoying little things though?? My method will help you put an end to those little buggers!!
#8- Cottage Christmas Tour
I say this every year…but this was definitely my favorite Christmas tree! It’s all coming down tomorrow, so get ready for some new fresh pictures and ideas for 2021! My tree, all the decorations, and the ribbon were from Walmart.
#7- Yarn Christmas Trees
This year’s version of a yarn Christmas tree. You can see last year’s trees HERE. I loved the soft yarn on these little trees. I just wrapped them up and packed them away until next year!
#6- Playhouse Makeover
It’s amazing what a little spray paint can do!! I was so over the Step 2 playhouse brown & red! How adorable did the playhouse come out…a mini beach cottage!!
I have a small home daycare that was closed because of Covid from March-June…I finished up the playhouse right before the kids came back. I fixed up the entire outdoor play area to welcome them…they were so excited!!
#5- Busy Board
Still a hit with the kids…and on Pinterest! What’s the old saying…if you can’t find it; build it?
This is the perfect project for right now…especially if you are in a cold climate and the kids are in the house more ( or in New England where it feels like it’s dark by 2:30!!!).
You probably could clean out your junk drawer and find a bunch of stuff to make your own busy board this weekend!
#4-Dollar Tree Pumpkin Sign
I think everyone loves a good Dollar Tree project!! I’m amazed at the popularity of everything Dollar Tree now…you could spend an entire day on You Tube watching people make cool things from things they found there!
This was a super simple craft! I painted the back side of a Dollar Tree pumpkin sign with chalk paint. Glued on one of the Dollar Tree metal words and finished it up with a burlap leaf and a Fall pick.
#3-Christmas Tray
I made this tray as part of a Blogger DIY challenge. We all made a footed tray and decorated it for the holidays. Aren’t you craving hot cocoa now??
Pro Tip: Speaking of hot cocoa (kind of), my favorite at home Starbuck’s hack is to put a scoop of mint hot chocolate in my coffee mug and then pour in the coffee ..top with whipped cream and you have your own Mint Mocha, and you still have the 5 bucks in your wallet!!
#2-Hey,Pumpkin!
YARN PUMPKINS
What to do with left over foam pumpkins?? A little pretty yarn and hot glue and you have the prettiest Fall decoration!! Save this one for next Fall…it’s fun to make!!
#1-Pine Cone Door Swag
To top off my top 10 blog posts of 2020…I give you the pine cone door swag!!
I am still amazed at the popularity of this pine cone door swag! It’s a special one for me because it’s the first project of mine to appear on a huge website; The Pioneer Woman reached out and asked to use it on their website ( I love Ree, so I was so excited!)
All you need is 7 big pine cones, a glue gun, and some pretty ribbon!! Easy and inexpensive to make…my fav kind of project!!
Looking Ahead to 2021
I’m excited for all the fun projects and ideas I’m planning for 2021!! I know, I know…Jen, don’t jinx it!!! I’m wishing you all a Happy & Healthy New Year! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for following along with Cottage On Bunker Hill. I’ve grown as a blogger so much this year and I can’t wait to look back in a year and see what I’ve done!!
