1. PB Viral Pumpkin Dupe
When I saw the Pottery Barn terracotta pumpkins in their Fall book last Summer I knew in my gut that they were going to be the “it” thing for Halloween. One thing about having this job is that I have learned to listen to that voice in my head and try to get ahead of trends for the season and figure out ways to recreate the looks on a budget and bring them to you all.
So many of you loved this project and dropped me messages saying that you made it…that makes my heart happy!!
Pin this one so you remember it next Fall!
2. Upcycle Thrift Store Vases
Who doesn’t love a good thrift store flip!! I love finding vases to upcycle when I’m out thrifting. There are so many things you can do with a cheap vase to make it look like you bought it at an expensive store! Winter is the perfect time to work on this kind of DIY to create some new decor to freshen up your home after the holidays.
3. Pressed Flower Clay Plaques
This was one of my favorite little DIYs too! I used air dry terracotta clay and a few different textured flowers to make pressed flower plaques. One thing that I love is that they are seasonless and you can use them all year round in your home decor.
4. Stripping a Coffee Table with Oven Cleaner
This was a fun project!! I had kept seeing people stripping their furniture with oven cleaner on Instagram but I had my doubts it would actually work! Well, it does…and I loved how it transformed an outdated coffee table into a stylish-looking piece that looked great in my living room.
5. Pressing Flowers in the Microwave
OK, this was another project that I have seen on Pinterest but honestly questioned if it would actually work!! It was the perfect project to brighten my day when it was still cold here in New Hampshire. I will definitely do this one again because the pansies were just so pretty!!
6. How to Start a Cutting Garden
Here’s one to read on a dreary winter day when you are dreaming about Spring!!! I wrote a guide to how you can start a cutting garden…I am telling you it was the best thing I have done in my 20+ years of being an avid gardener!! Even if you aren’t a gardener you will like the pictures of the pretty flowers…
7. Pottery Barn Bedroom Dupes
Oh, you know I love a good Pottery Barn dupe!!! I put together some budget bedroom decor ideas that will save you a boatload of cash!!! If you are like me then you are already thinking about the things you want to update in your home in the New Year…c’mon, I can’t be the only one with a mental list going!!
8. Vintage Bazaar New England
My trip to the Vintage Bazaar New England summer market. Even if you don’t live in the area you liked to take a virtual tour of this huge show! I love all the vintage bazaars throughout the year so if you live in New England keep your eye out for the 2023 calendar. I’ll share it as soon as it comes out!
9. Decorating for Christmas with Warm Neutrals
Considering this post is a little over a month old it really rocked and made it to the top 10!! I’m in the process of packing all the trees away until next year. I really loved how the living room looked this Christmas, definitely a huge fan of the warm metallics this year. It was so cozy and I will be missing hanging out in the living room at night with just the glow from all the lights scattered throughout the room.
10. Thrift Store Finds for the Kitchen
Mid-January is always a great time to hit the thrift stores! They are usually packed with items people have donated from their New Year’s purges. On this trip, I was looking for a few items to use to refresh my kitchen since it looks empty now that all my Christmas stuff is put away.
11. 16 Pretty Spring Decorating Projects
In this post, I rounded up my top 16 Spring decorating projects. There are plenty of DIYs to keep you busy and make some pretty things to decorate your home with for the Spring. Honestly, I love starting Spring and Easter projects in January and February to stay busy during cold months.

13. Celebrating Summer in New England
Oh, how I miss Summer when I see this one!! It was the perfect Summer day when I was decorating my outdoor space for a party. We can dream about those warm days, can’t we???
14. Dollar Store Easter Wreath
One of my favorite wreaths that I have made over the years!! Using wood egg and bunny ornaments from the Dollar Tree on a wire oval wreath frame I made this rustic and natural-looking wreath for Easter. Definitely recommend this project!
15. Faux Clay Bead Garland
This faux terracotta clay beaded garland was inspired by a set that I saw at Pottery Barn. This DIY uses large wood beads and paint to recreate the look of clay. One thing I like about this project is that you can use it year-round when you are decorating.
So, was your favorite project from 2022 on the list?? When I’m scrolling through I really can’t decide what my favorite project from this year was but I can tell you each one was fun to create!!
