DIY Pumpkin Crafts To Make
Faux Cement Pumpkin
When I opened my big bin of Fall stuff last week I had soooo many old fake pumpkins that had seen better days!!
I was trying to come up with a creative idea to use a few of them and here you have it…my faux cement pumpkins!!
Pottery Barn Pumpkin Dupe
When I saw the Pottery Barn terracotta pumpkins last July on their website I snapped a screenshot and sent it to one of my blogging girlfriends and said “Look at these, I’m going to figure out a way to make a dupe version.”
So, if you have any old ceramic jack o’lanterns hanging around or even plastic or foam ones…this is the project for you to try!!
It’s not hard but it does take a day to let the pumpkins dry between steps.
Dried Hydrangea & Pumpkin Wreath
Last season I had a plethora of hydrangeas…sadly this year I have hardly any flowers!!! I put together a quick wreath for my door with a few of the bunches. In a fun twist, I used a square Dollar Store wire wreath form instead of the traditional circle.
So all you need is dried hydrangeas (you could definitely use fake hydrangeas too!), 8 mini pumpkins, a wire wreath frame, & a hot glue gun.
Seagrass Rush Pumpkin
This seagrass pumpkin project was inspired by all the little jute pumpkins I saw on Pinterest. I had a roll of seagrass rush left over from a garden project and made a larger version to use as a centerpiece on my Fall table.
Buffalo Check Pumpkin Door Hanger
This project went viral on Pinterest last year! You need to grab a Dollar Tree pumpkin wireframe wreath and a set of buffalo check bead mix from Amazon. It’s super easy to put together and has a nice “wow” factor!
Pinecone Pumpkins
This is another project using foam pumpkins. Although this project isn’t complex it does take a little bit of time to hot glue the pine cone pieces onto the pumpkin.
…And if you are like me with a backyard full of pinecones this is the one to try!!
I love doing repetitive projects like this sometimes, I find it very relaxing just repeating the same thing over and over!
DIY Yarn Pumpkins
What to do with that extra yarn?? That’s what I was asking myself when I was organizing my workshop and came across a few skeins that I had used for my Yarn Christmas Trees. I had seen cute yarn pumpkins in the home decor stores and decided to make a set of my own.
Wood Bead Pumpkin
A bag of unfinished wood beads and a spool of copper jewelry wire is all it takes to make these Wood Bead Pumpkins. Don’t worry, you don’t have to stain each bead by hand…I have a cool trick for that and I’m happy to share it with you!!
Dollar Tree Fall Garland
With a few Dollar Tree Fall craft supplies, I created a pretty garland to hang for Fall. The natural tones and white pieces will work with various styles of decor too.
Wood Pumpkin Porch Sign
You don’t have to spend a lot of money on a sign to hang outside for Fall! It’s pretty simple to make your own Fall sign with a prefinished wood plaque sign from Michael’s and an unfinished wood pumpkin cutout.
Dollar Tree Pumpkin Sign
This simple sign using Dollar Tree supplies is a fan favorite! You can whip it up in a few minutes too! Even if you don’t consider yourself “crafty” I am telling you that you can do it!!

Great ideas! I love pumpkin season. Happy Sunday!
Yes, Happy Monday back to you! I love seeing all the pumpkins everywhere!
Your buffalo check pumpkin is still one of my all time favorites! So many cute pumpkins, Jennifer!
I know!! I was just looking at it and thinking about that…I don’t think it would get to Michigan in one piece though!!
