Welcome to the Weekly Rewind, my recap of the week with new blog posts, fresh ideas from the web, and some fun behind the scenes from the week.
Weekly Rewind
Well, it’s officially Fall!! It has actually felt a little bit Fall-ish the past few days in New Hampshire. No foliage yet though!
We’ve been enjoying the last few quiet weekends before the estimated 3.4 million people descend on the state for leaf peeping! It’s funny because the entire state of NH only has a population of about 1.4 million people!!
We took a Sunday drive up “Nawwwth” last weekend to a town we hadn’t visited before, Littleton, NH. It’s a picturesque New England town with the quaint downtown & a covered bridge…you know everything that pops into your mind when you picture this part of the country.

It was a beautiful day too and we had fun walking around and exploring all the shops and scenery in the area.
This mural was so pretty on the side of a building!
In the middle of the downtown there is a Pollyanna statue in tribute to the author Eleanor H. Porter who resided in Littleton.
We finished off the day by having lunch at Schillings with a good friend of ours who has a cabin in the area.
Isn’t this cool art? My friend made it to hang in their cabin. Perfect for the rustic cabin in the woods!
Littleton is a beautiful part of the state up in the White Mountain area, you drive through Franconia to get there. This is a gorgeous part of NH for foliage drives FYI.
On The Blog
My ultimate guide to thrifting for Fall! See a bunch of fun new looks for Fall using thrift store finds. Budget-friendly and beautiful!
You have got to see how pretty this wreath turned out!! The 2023 Garden Wreath is done and hanging on the front door!
Have you seen the chopped salad trend of TikTok? People are using a veggie chopper (I have this one from Amazon).
You dice all the veggies and Italian cold cuts in the chopper, I added yellow banana pepper rings too. If you are just making a single serving after everything is chopped you can add your dressing to the container and shake it up.
People add the salad to a sub roll but we just ate it like a salad. It was yummy! The choppers are loud but weirdly satisfying!!
And to kick off Fall I made my first pot of soup for the season!! This is one of my favorite recipes…even my mushroom and spinach-hating husband eats this one because it’s so tasty! If you shop at B.Js their store-brand fresh cheese tortellini are so good!
Around The Web This Week
Stacy | Bricks n Blooms
This month Stacy is showing us how to use plants and thrift store finds to create pretty Fall looks.
Lora | Create & Ponder
Lora is the queen of vintage shopping! She finds the coolest things and styles them in such pretty ways. This month she is sharing a mantle that she just styled for Fall.
My good friend Kim is an avid reader. She has put together a list of books that we should read this Fall. It’s so nice to curl up on a chilly Fall night with a good book! See all of Kim’s recommendations here.
OK, I love this chunky throw blanket from Target! It’s $35 and pretty long. This is the brown color but if you didn’t tell me it was brown I would say it’s green. It comes in cream and a really pretty heathered blue. I’ve been using it for a month and I really like it.
Cozy Fall Finds
Are you looking for farmhouse Fall porch inspiration? I just love how Rachel decorated this year, the rug is so pretty!!
This pumpkin project came out so cool!!! Love the technique that Wendy used!
Next weekend is the Vintage Bazaar New England Fall Edition! If you are in the Mass/ Southern NH area you should go! It’s such a cool collection of vendors at this show. Tix are available online here or at the gate. There are early bird hours starting at 8:30 on Sat. morn. The weather looks 70º and sunny too!
I wrote about the Vintage Bazaar here for a sneak peek at what to expect.
Just wait! This week I have so many great Fall ideas rolling out! Be sure to stop by or just sign up for my emails so you never miss a thing! Have a great week, friends!

Sounds like you had a wonderful little get away. I loved the art your friend made, so creative and different. Your projects are always so beautiful and I am ready to make that yummy soup. Thank you for sharing my pumpkin post.
Your pumpkins were awesome!! Yes, that is such a great soup recipe.
It looked like a fun trip. Love that mural on the side of the building. It really stands out.
