The Weekly Rewind is my online magazine where I get to share what has been going on behind the scenes, places I’ve visited that I think you would love, shopping finds, and inspiring pictures and projects from around the web.
What’s Been Happening
The first week of Summer started out pretty chilly here in coastal New Hampshire!! It was in the 50s some mornings and the days were 70…but with the prettiest blue skies and puffy white clouds!! But it ended with a weekend in the 90s…I don’t know how all of my Southern friends do that weather all the time!!
On Saturday I headed down to the summer Vintage Bazaar New England show at Kimball Farm in Haverhill. I always find so many goodies at their seasonal shows and there are so many interesting local New England vendors.
I also got to meet a few of other New England bloggers & creators. It was so fun to meet some of the gals that I’ve been Instagram friends with for years!!
I’ll be sharing more about the Vintage Bazaar this week.
My two projects this week were both for out in my garden,. My first little project was putting together this Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit inspired scarecrow.
Last week I stopped by a local antique store and picked up a bag full of goodies to use in both of these projects.
The second project that I made using some vintage garden tools & pots that I bought was a garden wreath. It has the perfect cottage garden flair and I love how it looks in an old thrifted chair outside of my garden gate.
You have to check out my tour of the Fuller Gardens. It’s a local New Hampshire botanical garden that has 1,500 rose bushes in bloom right now! Just such a lovely afternoon and I’m happy to be able to share it with you too! If you are ever up this way here is a Yankee Magazine Guide to the Seacoast.

FYI, I’m starving right now so if I had some pineapple in the house I would be whipping up a batch of Jen from Midwest Life and Style’s Pineapple Salsa.. Seriously, it looks so good and so fresh!! Perfect for any get togethers this weekend to celebrate the 4th!
I always love Stacy’s tablescapes but this one in on a whole other level…her yard makes the prettiest backdrop for this Elegant Hawaiian Themed Party! The combo of the flowers and the fruit has me looking like the heart eyes emoji!!
You have to take a virtual European trip with Kim from Shiplap & Shells! She’s curated the prettiest collection of door and gate photos as she traveled about.
You like vintage…I like vintage…so I know you will enjoy seeing how Amber from Follow the Yellow Brick Home uses vintage pieces in her garden.
Do you like ghost stuff???? I had fun reading 8 Haunted Hotels in New England…so if you are visiting this Summer check to see if your hotel made the list!!! Sidenote...I suggested the 1st one to friends that were traveling to Maine without knowing it’s haunted history!!!
Have you ever watched the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular concert??? If you are home on the 4th put it on because the music is amazing and it’s so much fun to watch the crowd! The patriotic sing along is my favorite part but the 1812 Overture is what is the most well known part of the concert. Here’s the info to tune in if you aren’t in the Boston area.
Check out 8 Ways to Add Cottage Charm with Garden Flowers and Fruit I am here for that chippy turquoise tool box…
Here are 7 Amazing Ways to Have a Memorable Summer from Kim at Cottage in the Mitten...I think she has a couple of the checked off her list!!
Who has good Summer reads??? I hate to admit it but I haven’t sat down and read a book in so long! I love reading too but have been using my “free” time to work on projects. I just checked out the Reese WItherspoons Book Club picks for June and realized I still have 2 of the books on the list sitting over on my bookcase that I haven’t read yet…
Have a wonderful week…and get ready for the 4th of July!! Can you believe it’s almost the 4th????… Here’s my best patriotic ideas for you
That rug is fantastic! I love all the pretty colors in it. Sadly, I have never seen or heard the Boston Pops Fireworks concert. Maybe I should head your way for the 4th! 🙂 Thanks so much for the share friend!
