Welcome to the Cottage on Bunker Hill Weekly Rewind where I share fun things that happened during the week, new projects I’ve made, good shopping finds, links from around the web that you will love, and places I’ve visited around New England.
Weekly Rewind
It’s officially Summer! I look forward to the Summer in New England all year…it’s what gets me through the dismal winter months.
The humidity kicked up this week and I finally think it’s safe to put away the winter jammies…it’s still been pretty chilly at night around here.
My garden is slowly coming along. The veggie section looks good but I have a couple of beds in the cut flower section that just don’t look like they are germinating. You should see me out there leaning over the beds inspecting…looking for any signs of life!! I’m going to have to come up with a plan B this week.
Vintage Bazaar New England
This past weekend was the Vintage Bazaar New England. It’s a 4 times a year seasonal bazaar.
In the Summer and Fall, the show is outdoors on the Kimball Farm grounds in Haverhill, Ma overlooking the Merrimack River. It’s such a pretty spot up on the top of a hill.
You can find everything from vintage to handmade to new merchandise for sale.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve met so many of the vendors and I love to stop and chat…and check out what they have in their booths.
Scroll through some of my favorite stops:
I left with 3 pairs of earrings and a necklace from Beaux Studios. She had the cutest linen dresses that were super popular at the bazaar. A couple of my friends bought dresses.
My other purchase is this huge basket. It’s 2 ft across. It was $22.
To end the weekend we took a walk on the beach before dinner. It was such a pretty day and the water was warm for NH in June.
On The Blog
This week I shared a couple of garden projects starting with this garden gal scarecrow. It was a fun DIY project using things I already had, thrift store finds, and a couple of inexpensive pieces from Amazon. Isn’t she the cutest??!!
This year I moved my potting bench into the garden and spruced it up a bit! See how I painted and styled it to create a cottage garden look to it.

Trending on Pinterest This Week
Over on Pinterest How to Press Flowers In The Microwave is very popular this month. I love that people are looking for ways to save their favorite flowers and use them for projects!
What is amazing is that in a couple of minutes, you get dried, pressed flowers that would take weeks if you put them in a thick book! Plus, this method keeps the colors vibrant.
Target restock!
If you missed out on this Citrus Print from the Studio McGee Target line this Spring I just noticed that it has been restocked!
