Welcome to the Cottage on Bunker Hill Weekly Rewind. This is my online magazine where I get to share a little more behind-the-scenes, interesting finds from the week that I think you will like, and links that you will love.
Weekly Rewind
It has been a couple of super busy weeks around here behind the scenes!! I’ve had so many projects going at once that I got myself dizzy!!
It’s that thing about Spring that you want to just clean and redecorate everything. Well, it’s not that Springlike in New Hampshire…I’m still looking at snow out my office window!!
I’ve been working on a couple of small painting projects in my kitchen. I repainted a console table that I stole from my bathroom and moved under the big picture window in my kitchen and also repainted my corner china hutch.
The shade I am using is Sherwin Williams “Muddled Basil”. An earthy green shade.
Then I repainted my corner hutch from a deep green to a bronze-green. Not a huge change but I love the subtle difference it has made.
But as I was scraping off the paint I got on the glass panes in the hutch I had a lightbulb moment!!! Don’t you love when that happens!!!
I figured out how to remove the 2 glass panels, they were held in by 2 rubber trim pieces. Then I searched rolls of caning on Amazon and found a darker rattan webbing and boom…the next day I was cutting out the rattan!
All I did was use the glass panel as a template and cut the rattan to that shape.

In My Cart
I love the HPD (Half Priced Drapes) curtain line sold on Amazon. The blue velvet panels that I have in my bedroom (formerly in my living room) are from them and are so heavy and of such amazing quality. My plan is to replace my current living room curtains with these Faux Linen Room Darkening in Oatmeal soon.
They come in lots of other colors and have excellent reviews too.
The price of my coffee table has dropped on Amazon this week, I originally bought it from Home Depot but they are priced higher right now. I had such a difficult time finding a table that worked in my smaller-sized living room, most tables that I liked were way too big for the space. It is a little pricey (considering I love thrifting and FB Marketplace!!) but I really loved it.
Have a Great Week!! ~ Jennifer
Love what you did with you hutch! So good!
