Saturday Shares | Volume 30

In: LIFESTYLE, Weekly Rewind

Hey friends! Can you believe Thanksgiving 2021 is just a few days away!!! I woke up at 2:30 am the other day because I was dreaming that I couldn’t find a turkey…no worries, I went out and bought one right away!!

I feel like I was just writing about summertime! It’s been a strange Fall in New Hampshire with super mild weather which caused not-so-great foliage in my part of the state…our plants don’t know what is happening!! My gardening friends were all sharing pictures of plants and flowers that are confused and have started reblooming…my forsythia has started flowering!!

For those of you familiar with forsythia you know it’s usually the 1st shrub to bloom in the Spring around here.

New on the Blog

I’ve been busy in my workshop making all kinds of new projects for Christmas! All of these Christmas decorations were inspired by things I came across when scrolling through high-end retailers.

By making them myself, I could recreate that expensive look for a fraction of the price.

DIY Mercury Glass Ornaments

How pretty are these?? For about 20 dollars I made 30 faux mercury glass ornaments!! Check out my DIY tutorial to make some for your Christmas tree!!

Jingle Bell Wreath

I spotted a similar wreath in the new Arhaus catalog and fell in love with it…but it was close to $80! I knew I could make my own version of the jingle bell wreath for a whole lot less!! Check it out!!

  • GOLD TABLETOP TREES

Now a few things I’ve been crushing on this week!

My cute little flats are on clearance for $12 at Walmart!! They are Rothy’s knock-offs and are so sharp looking!!

leopard print shoes

I just changed got these super cozy throw pillow covers and this furry throw is on my lap right now!! Total bargains from Amazon!

Check out the super cool wood valances that my friend Amy just made!!

I was so inspired by Aliya’s Old Fashioned Christmas!

I made this wreath last year. I learned how to make this red ticking holdiay wreath from my friend Misty…it’s easy and affordable to make.. tow of my favorite things!!

Looking for cute, rustic tabletop trees?? Check these DIY trees out!

I need to grab some felt and make these DIY fabric ornament balls...Love them!!

This French inspired Christmas living room tour had me saying “oui, oui”

I’m making this Chicken Gnocchi Soup today…it’s one of my favorites!

Do you cook butternut squash for Thanksgiving?? This is my go-to recipe (of course with New Hampshire maple syrup!!)

Have you listened to the new Adele “30” album yet??? It’s amazing…I had it cranking the other night when I was decorating…home alone because no one needs to hear me singing that loud!! I noticed in the Adele online store that they are selling a cassette tape for it…OMG, are cassettes making a comeback too??!! I’m a total pro at hitting stop right before the DJ starts talking…

Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! I am so grateful that you take time out of your busy lives to spend a little of your time here with me!!

Much love, Jennifer

here are a few fun facts…

  1. I’ve lived in New England my entire life! This is good because the beach is my favorite place to be…even in the winter, I love to go breathe in the salt air.
  2. I am an EARLY BIRD!!! I rarely sleep past 4…it’s my favorite time of day and those wee hours are my most productive. (plus, I LOVE coffee!!)
  3. The Gilmore Girls is my favorite all-time TV show…I’ve seen every episode at least 20 times!! “You jump, I jump, Jack” is my #1 favorite. (I.Y.K.Y.K.)
