Welcome to the Cottage on Bunker Hill Weekly Rewind! This is my online magazine where I get to share some behind-the-scenes on Bunker Hill, fun things I’ve done, and projects I’m working on with my readers every week.
Weekly Rewind
What a busy month already! In the past 4 days, I’ve done a wreath decorating class for 20 women, had a son get in a fender bender in Boston (Storrow Drive), help my son move in the pouring rain to a new place in Boston, checked on my Mother’s condo while she’s recovering at my brother’s from her cancer treatments only to find her bathroom ceiling leaking and split open and ready to fall down….and it’s only Sunday!!!
Vintage Bazaar New England
The Holiday Vintage Bazaar New England was this past weekend too! I love all of the bazaars and love exploring all of the booths. It’s a mix of vintage goods, handcrafted items, and some new products.
There were lots of vintage skis, sleds, and snowshoes for sale at the bazaar.
One of my favorite booths at all the Vintage Bazaars is Fleurish Home & Garden. She always has the prettiest mix of botanicals and goods.
A’Laur Handcrafted Home Decor was a fun stop. She makes everything out of concrete. Look how cute these propagation vases are?? I bought a pretty cream dish that I’ll show you soon (still haven’t even unwrapped it!)
Swampscot River Antique & Salvage is the place to go for vintage crates, buckets, and baskets. Do you see that red metal bucket waaaaay in the background…well you will see it Thursday when I reveal my Christmas porch for this year.
Now, my favorite stop was chatting with these gals!! Sarah the creator of Sassafras and Van Claus Designs sisters.
If you are local to New Hampshire they have a monthly market collab in Rollingsford, NH. too.
Wreath Party
A fun girl’s night idea is to throw a wreath decorating party! You can read all about it and everything that I suggest to have your own wreath night.
Quick Decorating Tip!
You bought a bag of plain pinecones and wish they were had a snow covered look…no problem!
Grab white acrylic craft paint & irredescent glitter. Run a wideish paint brush down the edges of the pinecone then roll in glitter (pour some glitter on paper towel)…voila!
I feel so late in finishing up my winter porch!!! It’s either been rainy or soooo windy lately. I took a walk into the woods behind my house to cut some fresh greens to make a couple of winter planters.
