Welcome, welcome!! Yay for another weekend!! It’s perfect August weather in New England this weekend..hot and sunny…these are the days I try to remember when I’m freezing and sad in February!!!! (no seriously, I’m miserable by February so come check on me please!!!!)
And yes, yes I know this weekly post is called Saturday Shares and it’s Sunday afternoon…I should have thought that one through better!!
On The Blog
On the blog this week I shared a super simple way to get a handmade pottery look using a $3 terra cotta planter bowl. This is a really quick project and you do not need to be a super crafter to make it!!

Ooooh, I really am crushing on the other project I made this week!! I did a dupe for an Anthropologie wreath that I saw on their website…and only cost me around $15 to make (instead of $150!!)
Spoiler alert: It looks the same!!!
You can watch me make the wreath too! I made a YouTube video tutorial too.
Weekend Fun!
I was lucky to spend a few minutes this morning watching this Monarch butterfly enjoying my zinnia patch this morning! Talk about peaceful!
Our good friends had a clam bake yesterday! They live in beautiful Rockport, Mass. and you can see the ocean from their house…it’s dreamy!! I don’t know if you like seafood but it isn’t Summer for me until I’ve had lobster…and they were so yummy and amazingly fresh (like just came off the boat!!)
Rockport, ma.
Sunday Shopping
I stopped by my local Target today to check out all the new Fall stuff. The dollar spot has a few cute things for Fall this year so definitely stop by yours before everything is gone!
The Fall Hearth & Home merch is my favorite line yet! I’m really loving the expansion into richer colors like the copper, dark green, and mustard color on some of the pieces. Also, the different wood tones from light to dark. Really, something to coordinate with all decor styles/color palettes!
My Target was super well stocked too…love when that happens! You can see my top Hearth & Hand Fall picks from the new line.
Do you have a Christmas Tree Shops store near you?? My Mom and I love to go there! You can find some great seasonal decor there. It’s my go-to spot for my coir doormats ( $6.99) and table runners.
They were all stocked up for Fall today!! I love shopping before everything is picked over,
I saw this cool preserved wheat decoration…but I didn’t want to shell out the $14.99. I’m going to try and make a dupe of it as soon as I get my hands on some wheat…stay tuned!!!
This Week
This week is my official kick-off to Fall!! This week I’ll be posting new ideas for Fall DIY wreaths.
At the end of the week, I’ll be sharing a roundup of the prettiest Fall wreaths I’ve found from some talented friends. So don’t forget to stop back and check them all out!! All are going to be easy and budget-friendly ( 2 of my favorite things!!)
