This botanical print gallery wall is one of my most pinned and viewed projects…so thank you all!! It’s the one thing I haven’t changed in my home since I put them up…which says alot since I think I’ve changed up just about everything else!!
How To Make A Botanical Gallery Wall
Have you seen how much botanical prints are selling for in the stores or online? I loved the look but wanted to find a way to do them on my own for less.
I scoured Pinterest and Google and finally found a free source that you could download the images from here (you need to scroll down through the left column for a bit until you come to the plates).
I printed my pictures off of my home printer using cream-colored card stock because I wanted them to look like they had been pages from an old book. You could also upload the images and have them printed out as photographs for a more polished look depending on your decor.

I found these beautiful frames at the Christmas Tree Shops, I loved the look of the linen matte. The frame has an 8×10 opening and I printed the images on 8 1/2 x 11 standard paper so the edges of the print needed to be trimmed down a bit.
Hanging The Frames
Honestly, the hardest part of this project is hanging the frames!! You really need a laser level to make sure everything in your botanical gallery wall square is even.
I figured out the center of the wall first and how high I wanted the top row to hang. Marked the spot with a pencil and then put in the nail and hung the print.
After that, it was easier to determine how far apart I wanted the frames to be from one another.
The botanical prints add such a pretty touch to the dining area in my kitchen.
I really love how this wall came out! It’s a focal point when you come in through my kitchen door.

Wow, that looks so beautiful! Question on printing though…I know you said you printed on cream paper but on the download there is a background color, doesn’t this color come through when printing? Am I making sense? I love the cream background but not sure how to get it.

You are making total sense! The original prints have an aged color background to them that will print out. I think using a more creamy/beige paper helped with keeping that aged look. I feel like a stark white would come out a bit lighter in the end.
I printed off six botanicals and bought frames from Walmart to put them in. They are hanging in my living room. Gives that room a little *class.* I absolutely love them.
