While blueberry picking is a classic summer pastime, the Seacoast offers a variety of U-pick options. From sweet strawberries early in the Summer to juicy raspberries that are ready later in the Summer, there is usually a berry ready to be picked!

Often overshadowed by its larger coastal counterparts, Exeter boasts a rich history, charming shops, and a vibrant arts scene. Spend an afternoon strolling through the historic downtown area, exploring antique shops, and indulging in delicious cuisine.

Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the American Independence Museum or take a stroll through the historic Phillips Exeter Academy campus.
The American Independence Museum hosts a vibrant festival featuring vendors, live music, and a Revolutionary War re-enactment each summer. This cornerstone event of Exeter’s summer season culminates in a concert and fireworks display on Swasey Parkway.
A unique highlight is the opportunity to view one of the few surviving original copies of the Declaration of Independence, the festival typically takes place in mid-July.
One of my favorite times of year in Exeter is the annual Exeter UFO festival! It’s a fun weekend festival for young and old held Labor Day weekend.
Even dogs get into the spirit! There is a pet parade and people dress up their dogs in alien costumes, it’s a sight to see!
This is a free event but there is a fee for buying a ticket to listen to the guest speakers. To learn more about the UFO festival.
