I love to decorate with neutral colors for Fall! My home is decorated in a combination of grays, blues, and greens so a neutral Fall decor is a natural fit for my style.
I had these candlesticks for at least ten years; they were a deep mahogany color and I didn’t use them very much anymore (leftover from my days of decorating with reds and browns!) To update them I used a coat of white chalk paint, after the white dried I added a little Waverly “Mineral” chalk paint to some areas. I lightly distressed the candlesticks when the paint was dry.
For my table centerpiece, I painted orange dollar store pumpkins with chalk paint (white mixed with a blueish-green) and nestled them in with some dried hydrangea from my garden. It was so simple to put together but I think it’s so pretty.
This is the view of my eat-in kitchen all decorated for the season.
I used an antique scale that I found at a flea market for $3 to display gourds I grew in my garden.
