Using Traditional Fall Colors In The Kitchen

In: DECORATING, Fall Decorating Ideas & Projects

This Fall I’m using traditional colors in my kitchen. The Autumn reds and oranges look pretty with the green accents in my dining area.

Today is the official first day of Autumn! The air is crisp and the leaves on my maples are starting to turn. It definitely puts me in the mood to decorate! Over the weekend I added a few touches for Fall around my kitchen. Let me show you how I sprinkled the traditional colors of Fall in my small kitchen.

I have a small house, our garage has a door that leads right into the kitchen, and on the other side of my kitchen island is the dining area.

One of my favorite little projects was doing this Botanical Print Gallery Wall. I still love how it looks; it’s the one thing that hasn’t changed in a while!

Fall Kitchen Decor

Last year I did a mostly white and green Fall kitchen.

This year I was definitely feeling the warm rusty vibe I was seeing in the stores.

I found these beautiful Fall stems at my local Michael’s; they were my inspiration for this Fall’s decor for sure!!

I was sad to put my Sunflower arrangement away but I love how one came out! Using my Better Homes & Gardens white porcelain pitcher ( I think the most versatile container you can have for flowers) I added 3 bunches of stems- the orange ball flowers, the white ball flowers, and the mini orange pumpkins.

I’m in love with these orange flowers!! They have the prettiest texture.

If you’ve read my blog for a bit you know this is the 3rd color you have seen on my kitchen hutch!!!! What can I say, I get bored quickly sometimes!! There’s a pic of it on my Fall tour last year.

I’ve had the garland and the rattan pumpkins that I placed on top for at least 10 years….see my decor hoarding problem comes in handy sometimes!!!

I filled my hutch with all my white pieces. I have to thank Walmart for the majority of my collection. I’m such a fan girl of their Better Homes and Gardens line!

I know some people feel they always have to get new things every year to decorate but shop your own house first to see what you have already collected over the years.

I found this wire basket at a junk store years ago! The coppery color looks so pretty in my Fall kitchen.

I finished up my hutch with this Fall bead garland that I made. The copper leaf blends so nicely with the rest of my Fall decor,

Now I feel like it’s Fall! Just a few colorful Autumn touches made such a difference in moving from Summer to Fall in my kitchen.

I got the table and chairs from Walmart. It’s a really heavy table too!
