Weekly Rewind
Did you have a nice Thanksgiving?? I think I’m still in a turkey coma! I hosted some of my family here for dinner. We always share lots of laughs and eat too much!!
My cousin flew up from Florida with her husband whom we hadn’t had a chance to meet yet. He’s great and we loved the chance to get to know him.
I made 2 of my apple crumb pies. It’s a pie but tastes like apple crisp!! I’ll have to write up the recipe here on the blog soon!
If you have ever wondered what 20+ wreaths look like shoved in the back of a Jeep…here you go!! This week I’m teaching a wreath decorating night at a girlfriend’s barn and there are over 20 ladies coming! It’s going to be so much fun!!! I’ll be taking lots of pictures to share here next week.

In the “getting sidetracked” category…I was supposed to be decorating my kitchen& dining area for Christmas on Saturday and ended up doing a wallpaper backsplash in my kitchen instead! The walls are just painted and I’ve had tiling and repainting the cabinets on my list but honestly, didn’t feel like tackling that project right now…this will do for the winter! It really brightened up the space!
The wallpaper is NuWallpaper Black Landondale from Home Depot and is pretty easy to put up and an affordable option for a small space. I used 1 roll for the backsplash area in my kitchen. I’ll be sharing more pictures when I post my Christmas kitchen tour.
Look at This!
Would you look at this gorgeous wreath that Carole Fowler made after seeing my Bottle Brush Tree Wreath tutorial!! I love how colorful her trees are. It makes this blogger’s heart happy when you send me pictures of things you have made after seeing them here!
If you ever make one of my projects or are inspired by anything you see here please send me a picture!! I would love to feature you in the Weekly Rewind!

Weekly Finds
I was checking out all the new candles at Walmart this morning. Drew Barrymore has added a line of candles to her Walmart line and they smell so good! The Parkside Breeze was my favorite and smells just like a candle from an expensive store! The little flower pot was super cute too.
I’m such a fan of the Better Homes & Garden Blue Fern & Citrus and also the Red Lava…both candles are dupes for the cult favorite Blue Capri candle line sold at Anthropologie. This line for the holidays…the shape of the glass jar and its look of it are definitely very Anthro-feeling!
New on the Blog
Did you see the winter gallery wall I put together?? I wanted to change up this long wall behind my sectional and DIYd a few new things…out of old things!! It didn’t cost me a dime and I recycled a few old pictures.
I have a cute hostess gift idea for you for the holidays! This DIY Kitchen Garden is a quick gift you can put together and is great for the home cook or if you are looking for something else besides flowers or wine to bring to the party. You can probably pick up everything at a grocery store (if you have a large one!) or a local nursery that stocks indoor plants.
What’s Inspiring Me This Week
Seriously, how cute is this Colorful Light Up Christmas Village that was done by Jen at Tatertots & Jello??!! She has the funnest style and is a talented DIYer.
Did you pick up any poinsettias yet? Well, you need to check out Stacy’s Poinsettias and How To Care For Them for what you need to do to keep them thriving through the holiday season.
It’s supposed to be getting chilly here later this week and that means it will be time to start making soups again! This Hearty Crockpot Chicken Enchilada Soup from Jen at Midwest Life & Style looks so darn good!!!
This week Rachel shared 5 Sustainable & Cheap Christmas Tree Decorating Ideas. She has so many easy tips and ideas that you will want to try!
