Kitchen Cleaning

In: Cleaning+Organizing, LIFESTYLE

my must have kitchen cleaning products

OK, so is it weird to get excited about cleaning products? I actually love lingering in the cleaning section of Target and Home Goods; I find it so relaxing.

Last year when I did the whole Marie Kondo-ing of my clutter I streamlined everything in my kitchen and kept only things that brought me joy. I had so many bottles of random cleaners under my sink! I tossed all the products that I had bought and didn’t like and got rid of all the worn out towels and cleaning cloths. I put one metal bucket under the sink for cleaning products and 2 baskets (dish towels & microfiber cleaning cloths) on the other side of the cabinet.

On top of my sink I use a porcelain dish to house my dish soap and soap brush. This bubble up soap brush is amazing! I use it to scrub down my sink at the end of the day using Mrs. Meyers Lilac soap; I always buy a few bottles in the Spring to use throughout the year. I use Dawn old school blue dish soap for everything else.

They have a few products from the Grove Collaborative that I can’t get anywhere else. I love their empty glass cleaning spray bottles; I use them for my DIY All Purpose Cleaner but you can pour your own cleaner into them- they look so much prettier on your kitchen counter than the bulky plastic bottles.

I use my DIY cleaner on most surface in my kitchen, but I use Dawn on my stove to clean up greasy messes (after my boys or husband cooks).
