  1. Hi Jennifer,
I love thrift store shopping! I have quite a few places that I hit on a pretty regular basis. One thing that I learned recently is that if you see it and love it, buy it! I missed out on a clock that I really liked recently and I asked myself, “why didn’t you buy it?” I mean it was only $8! Silly me…

Yes, even if I’m not 100% sure about something that I see I put it in my cart while I’m shopping!! The only worse thing is getting sidetracked on your way to the thrift store and the first lady you walk by has a cart filled with really cool stuff that you missed out on…that one hurts!!

  2. What a great haul! Thanks for sharing, all the informative is really helpful. I have the same Independence ironstone dish! Mine is soft yellow and I have a larger matching platter. My mom used to volunteer in the church thrift and had a keen eye. She loved picking up treasures for me. I don’t even know I owned a piece of ironstone so thank you.

Now that would have been a job for me but I would have come home with stuff everyday!! Oh that sounds so pretty Pamela!

That stinks Cindy!! Yes, I am in a great spot because I can shop in 3 New England states within a short distance.Maine is less than 30 minutes up the coast and the Mass border is about 20 min south of me.

Always fun to re-create something fabulous from someone’s throw-aways.
Trash to treasure, indeed!! Great ideas! Thank you!!

  5. I love that green Lenox pitcher! I can see your cut flowers in there now! Great finds, Jennifer!! xo

  6. Yes, I have your addiction, thrift store hunting. I like old picture frames and I’m always looking for pieces of Haeger pottery as my father worked for this company. Not Royal Haeger, just Haeger.
You have scored high on the items you are showing us. Congrats –
Keep thrifting and see how much $$$ you are saving!!
