  1. I’m really digging all the natural elements in your decor, Jennifer! It’s lovely. I imagine that’s how most people decorated before life got complicated. It makes everything feel more cozy and magical. I’ve always been fascinated with dried pods as well, so it’s funny to hear you say that! (My kids are always hungry too, by the way.) Happy Holidays!

Thanks Crissy!! I love going out foraging for stuff too!! I have a few Scotch pines in the woods behind my house where I always find the best pine cones so it’s a little game to see how far up I can reach!!

The red ticking made it to 3 spots..the wreath, in the garland, and on my dried orange ornaments!!! Thanks for the inspo this Christmas!! And I don’t think I could ever not live near the beach!!

  7. My vintage-loving eye spied your awesome divided crate and the tool caddy; awesome pieces to decorate with! I also love your wooden cake plate; think I need one of those in my life;) Such fun to see your home and get the tour! I’m jealous you’re so near the ocean; sounds wonderful. Enjoy the Merry!

You’d go crazy with all the little antique shops and vintage markets up and down the coast near me! I live about 25 min from both the Maine and Mass borders and you can find some real gems! The cake plate is BHG at Walmart and is $19 but has a vintage look to it.

  15. Jennifer, your home is stunning and you have a real eye for making gorgeous vignettes and beautiful, collected spaces! I would love to go junking and thrifting with you bc you have found some awesome treasures! I can’t believe you run a daycare with all this beautiful decor around!! I especially love your vignette about your wall cabinet, and how you displayed items on the found cabinet/ bench in your entryway!! It was a true delight to walk through your home this morning ❤ Oh, and I want to make your wood advent calendar next year but I stink at math (don’t even get me started on geometry!!), but maybe I can get Mr DIY to make it for me?! 😉🤞 Have a wonderful holiday season my sweet friend!!

    1. Jennifer Howard says:

Cindy, you are the sweetest! I’ve missed junking this year…all the good bazaars and flea markets were cancelled!! But sometimes I find things I forgot I had in the basement and it’s almost like I just went thrifting!!

  16. Your home is decorated so beautifully for the holidays! I love those wintry prints above your kitchen table. My mom used to do an in-home daycare when we were growing up. It takes a special person to do that.💕

    1. Jennifer Howard says:

Thanks, Jen!! I changed out my regular botanicals and printed out these…for free, my favorite kind of DIY!!

  17. Your home looks spectacular decked out for Christmas. I love the beautiful garlands over your kitchen window. (Wish I had a kitchen window to decorate!) The Lotus pods in your kitchen table centerpiece look wonderful with the other stems that you used. I love your countdown to Christmas DIY and I’ll bet that your daycare kiddos look forward to turning the wood slice over each day. I so much enjoyed your tour!

    1. Jennifer Howard says:

LOL, anything that requires the kids taking turns each day is always a trip!!! Thank you so much for your kind words Paula.
