Welcome to my first edition of Saturday Shares for 2021. I took a couple of weekends off to catch up on things around here and put away Christmas…but don’t you always find 1 thing hiding somewhere that you missed!! Here’s what I’ve been up to…
Welcoming The New Year
I’m so lame…I haven’t made it ’til midnight in years!! My perfect way to start welcome in the New Year is to take an early morn drive down to the beach and breath in some of that pure salt air…I swear it heals all ills!!
I’ve been lucky enough to always live with in a short drive to the beach and it’s in my blood!! One of my favorite spots on the coast to visit in the winter is the Salisbury Beach Reservation at the Black Rocks.
It’s the spot where the Merrimack River meets the ocean and it’s beautiful! Also, there are snowy owls that winter here but I didn’t see any that morning.

Reorganizing
January is the time when I get the “reorganize everything in the house” bug!! I try to do one small thing a day that only takes a few minutes.
Last week I went through my dish towels and got rid of all the raggedy ones. I grabbed a few new ones from the Hearth & Hand line at Target (along with a pretty cotton throw for my sectional). The towels are $3.99 each and are nice and big!
I did a post on the Spring 2021 Hearth & Hand line recently; you can read it HERE and see my favorite finds!
Think Spring!
First of all, we are having the strangest winter in New Hampshire!! After having snow in October I was sure we were in for it, but it’s been so mild lately. Today is 50° and we are having a ridiculously windy rain storm so it totally feels like Spring…I have to admit that after I put away my Christmas decor I skipped right over winter decor and hopped right to Spring!
I’m forcing a few bulbs, so I’m looking forward to some fresh blooms soon! And those white tulips???…would you believe they are FAKES!!!
The tulips are under $20 for 30 stems and are that real touch variety. I bought the pink, yellow, and champagne mix last year and loved them so much!

Dreaming Of Gardening
My favorite pastime in January & February is planning my garden for the year…it seriously helps me get through the winter!
Like any true gardener, every season you add something here or expand your beds a little bit there. This year I want to add more cut flowers for sure. I’ve been dreaming of dahlias all winter since I saw how beautiful they looked in my friend’s gardens:

In The Mood To Redecorate??
In the mood to redecorate?? I put together a great post of Pottery Barn Looks on a budget! It’s so fun to find good dupes and who doesn’t love a bargain!! Check it out HERE.
Im looking forward to gardening season. I am one of those people who started a garden during quarantine. This year I am adding a cut flower garden. Waiting for some of my seeds from Floret and just orders some dahlia tubers, yesterday! Looking forward to your tips!
Thank you so much for sharing my in your post this week! I can’t wait to see your cut flower garden! We will be doing this together! xoxo
Your garden is so inspiring!! Once again, my neighbors must think I’m a lunatic just standing outside staring…mentally trying to figure out what I’m going to do!! I can’t wait for flowers!!
