Just beautiful, Jennifer! I love the addition of the artichokes. I tried growing them last year but they never developed flower heads. I am definitely going to try again though, yours are awesome! Did you start them indoors? I did but I’m thinking there wasn’t enough sun where I planted them. My front door gets sun all afternoon so I think I may make a garden wreath and put it on the door in my breezeway. Most visitors use that door, but I wish I could put it out front! I don’t have all of the flowers you used but a lot of them! And I’m sure I can scrounge up some fillers from the field. Makes me want to plant more variety next year, that’s for sure! Jan in MA

Jan, I got the artichoke plants from a local farm. I planted them last year too and got no flowers. This year I planted 2 and only one flowered. But I was reading that you can dig up the plant, cut it back and overwinter it and the second year you should get artichokes. I am going to try it this year!! I’m just thrilled I finally have flowers this year…it took until September though!!

  2. Really beautiful and I loved the last 2. Your garden must be a joy. Mine has gotten beyond me.

Thanks Barb! My garden was a struggle this year with the unbelievable amounts of rain we got all Summer in New Hampshire! I’m so happy for flowers now and I love making wreaths with them.

      Thanks, Renae!!

  3. Beautiful wreath, Jennifer. You’re so lucky to have such a profusion of flowers in your garden. I’m afraid it would die in a hot minute in Dallas. It’s still too warm here. I can dream.

It has been quite a struggle this year, we have had hardly any sun and incredible amounts of rain in New Hampshire. I’m thankful for the flowers that I am getting now. Oh, I know, you all have had a miserably hot Summer! I couldn’t have lasted through all those 100º days!
