After I finished up with my front porch I added a few more things outside for Fall. I have a small area in the front yard near a crab apple tree that I decorate every season.
Out front I have an old wooden wagon that I scooped up from a local antique store,The Collector’s Eye in Stratham, that always have great goodies to find. The wagon was a bright blue paint when I purchased it and I painted it a neutral gray that works for all seasons.
I filled it with mostly faux pumpkins and added a few real mini white pumpkins on top. The weight of the real pumpkins keep the faux ones in place if it gets windy. I love real pumpkins and will add some to my front stairs but from the road you can’t really tell that these are mostly fake. I made the burlap banner from a Dollar Tree find- it originally said “LUAU” across the front and had paper flamingos on the sides! I peeled off the sparkly letters and did a quick stencil and painted on the “FALL”
The yard stake was also a Dollar Tree find. I painted over the bright Autumn colors with a coat of light gray chalk paint. I could still see the original raised lettering and just traced over the words with dark gray paint. I filled an antique pail with soil to hold the stake and added some mini pumpkins and a mini leaf garland to finish the look.
I changed up the basket on my garage door entrance by adding a few Fall pumpkin and apple picks and added some raffia.
Now, I’m ready for Fall!
