Have you heard of Christmas in July before?? I just get psyched for watching a few Hallmark Christmas movies when it’s 90° out!! I have noticed that people are starting to look at my Christmas pins over on Pinterest…I think people are ready for a rockin’ holiday season this year!! Get those Santa hats ready folks!!
FYI… The Hallmark Channel’s Christmas in July is running through the 31st and the movies play from morning until night. Here’s the schedule
I’m putting together a few of my most popular Christmas ideas from the past couple of years for you.
My Best Christmas Ideas
Christmas Front Porch Ideas
I think this was my all-time favorite holiday front porch! This entire porch was 100% inspired by the cute retro reindeer sign that I saw on the Walmart website last Fall. Pro Tip: as nuts as it seems to shop for Christmas stuff when you have pumpkins on your porch.. the cute stuff sells out before most people even start thinking about decorating!
I even used my old Christmas tree out on the porch! It was such a pretty and bright display…it’s so nice to look outside on a dark & cold night to see all the happy lights!
Here’s after a healthy dumping of the white stuff!! A snow covered front porch is so pretty!

DIY Yarn Christmas Trees
This is one of my favorite holiday crafts! All you need is a skein of thick pretty yarn and a foam cone…oh and hot glue! Even if you aren’t super crafty you can make a set of these cute trees for your mantle or tablescape this season.
There are 2 versions of DIY yarn trees on the site. The yarn trees with loops and the wrapped yarn trees.
Front Door Ideas
This pine cone door swag is my #1 most popular post on my site! All you need is a roll of thick wired ribbon and a few large pine cones…you can add glitter or floral accents, whatever you want to personalize it for your own decor.
Homemade Ornament Ideas
One of my favorite DIYs last holiday season was making dried orange slices and gingerbread salt dough ornaments.
This is the perfect kid-friendly Christmas idea too!

Favorite Christmas Treat
OK, this recipe is dangerous!! You know…one of those that you walk by and grab “one teeny piece” every single time you walk by!! This mint chocolate bark is a family favorite in my house. It’s a quick and easy recipe to make too.

Seriously, I can taste it now! I make a peanut butter version too, using a bag of mixed peanut butter & choc. chips and a bag of those tiny peanut butter cups.
Alright, after our little Christmas in July detour I’m back to Summer…and weeds in the garden…enjoy your day!
