Check out this collection of budget-friendly & beautiful Spring vases and planters that I found online. There are over 30 vases and planters plus a few affordable options for artificial spring flowers and plants. Everything is under $35 with most of my picks being under $20. Come check out what I found!
Who else is ready to spruce up their places a little bit?? There’s something that happens to me as we hit February that makes me want to start putting plants and flowers everywhere!
Maybe it’s because by February it feels like it’s been Winter forever here in New Hampshire…I’m not sure but I have a feeling that I’m not alone in feeling this way.
The other day I happened to stumble across a bunch of planters online at Walmart that were all marked down which sparked the idea of this post. I started clicking around and curating a collection of budget-friendly vases and planters that I thought were beautiful and really on-trend for 2023.
Most of everything here is under $30 with most things under $20...the most expensive thing is the female bust vase which is $34.99.
Cottage Style Spring: My Best Budget-Friendly Finds
Cottage style and Spring just go together, don’t they?? Think of pink flowers in a pretty white pitcher, or tall stems of pussy willows in a natural rattan vase. Lots of planters of flowering plants…that’s what comes to my mind when I think of the cottage-style vibe!
For this style, I found so many budget-friendly vases and planters. Plus some really pretty flowers and greenery options to spruce up your home.
I have had the white ceramic Better Homes & Gardens pitcher for a few years and always bring it out in the Spring to hold flowers… Sometimes artificial like the tulips on the left (yes, those are fake!) or for Forsythia branches that I cut and brought indoors to force.
Modern Mood: Vases & Planters with a Modern Feel
If you have been around Cottage on Bunker Hill for a couple of years then you know my home was predominantly cottage-style. But I have found in the past year that my personal home style has definitely been sliding over to a slightly more modern look.
I think that I’m drawn to the mixed metals and the texture that I see on some of the more modern pieces.
Last week I picked up a few planters from Walmart. I really can’t get over that this Better Homes & Gardens planter is just $5.48! It will fit a small plant but I think it would look great filled with artificial flower stems or some feathery greenery.
I popped in a bunch of artificial white peonies to show you how it looks with flowers instead of a plant. So pretty!
Although the willow branches look really nice and so real I recently used them in a little DIY project. I used them to make a set of Moss Covered Branches.
I used the rest of the willow branches in a tall vase (a flea-market flip) on a console table behind my sectional. They are pretty good fakes!
Black & White Trendy Vases & Planters
Classic black and white planters and vases can be worked into all kinds of home color schemes. I found such a great variety of super-affordable options for you.
The priciest piece is the female bust vase at $34.99…but even at that price, it is so much cheaper than most of the ones I have seen at other places. Most things pictured here are under $15 today.
I actually picked up a few of these pieces for my own home! Hey, I couldn’t resist…they were bargains!!!
One of my budget vase picks is even a copycat look for a popular Pottery Barn one!!! The one on the left is $50 from Pottery Barn and the one on the right is $12.98 from Walmart!!
The Walmart bubble planter also comes in black. I love the contrast of the black with the green hoya plant.
For now I am using the BHG Chad planter for my fave plant (silver pothos) but this one would look great with dried hydrangeas or even filled with pretty shells on your coffee table.
I’ve also had the white tulips for a few years, and they are the real touch kind where they are made of a latex material. They really do look real, I have light pink and bright pink ones and love them!
One side note is that I would keep them out of direct sunlight because I fee like mine yellowed a bit from being in front of my big, sunny living room window.
Hopefully, I could save you some time today on searching out vases and planters yourself…let me do the clicking!!
Let me know what other things you want me to to find affordable options for this year! I love hearing your ideas on what you want to see on the blog…you all have some great ideas!! Leave me a comment below or you can always send me a message.
First time on your blog. Your vase picks and the flowers/branches are beautiful. Unfortunately Canadian Walmarts do not carry BHG products. But I will definitely try to find similar flowers on Amazon.ca as we do not have the same suppliers. (PS just as a comparison, the blk double handled vase here would be approx. $25-30 here – loveit by the way.)
Oh Barb…that’s not even right!! You are missing out on all the great BHG products!! We should protest.
Oh I love all these vases! So pretty and perfect for spring! I just may have to snag a few myself too!
I love your vase picks. That modern blue vase is stunning. I have that female bust planter. Love it and had her for several years. She gets moved around in the house. I highly recommend grabbing one like her.
She is perty!!! I’m adding it to my Spring wish list11
