Today I’m joining 12 of my friends in sharing our favorite thrifty finds from this year! Wait until you see all the good stuff we all found…
Thrifting with the Gals: Look Back at 2022
The Thrifting with the Gals group posts once a month during the year and invites a guest blogger to join them each time to share their vintage and thrifting finds from their areas. So by the end of the year, there is a group from across the U.S. and it’s so much fun to see what people find in their sections of the country!!
My Thrift Store Haul
Cottage On Bunker Hill- New Hampshire
I joined the gals this past Spring to share one of my best thrift store hauls of the year! My local Savers store is my favorite spot to go thrifting. Sometimes it’s a miss but on this day it was a definite hit! I left with a carriage full of goodies…
Here Is My List of What I Look For When I’m at the Thrift Store:
- Trays
- Silver/ Pewter
- Vases
- Ceramic Pots
- Baskets
- Candlesticks
- Frames
- Ironstone
- Dishes
That thrift store haul came to about 30 bucks!! It was a good day.
I’ve used the pieces over and over again since the Spring to decorate too. The pretty vase has been on my Spring table and now is my Winter centerpiece full of greens and pinecones.
This sweet little ironstone creamer is perfect for my dining room hutch cabinet. I filled it with mini silver pieces from my grandmother.
For the holidays I have it styled with a mini pinecone tree on a cement tray that I recently found at the Holiday Vintage Bazaar from a local maker A’Laur Handcrafted Home Decor
This silver bud vase was definitely worth the $2.49 investment!! It’s the perfect small accent piece with either a pretty Spring daffodil or dried poppy pods from my cutting garden.
But I think my favorite piece from that thrift store haul was this glass cloche! There was a tacky cactus sticker on the base of it…I actually thought it was a piece of inlaid ceramic and was thrilled when I got home and realized it peeled right off!!
Now let’s see what the rest of the Thrifting with the Gals found this year… I’m happy to say that I’ve met 10 of these gals in real life over the past two years and they are just wonderful!!

Go!!! You will have so much fun meeting everyone!!
Jennifer,
This was such a fun year and I’m so glad you joined us for our TWTG’s Series. I hope you’ll be able to join us again in 2023. Thanks for participating in the round-up and Merry Christmas.
You always score the best finds. You need to teach me your magic ways! Or come visit me so we can go thrifting together.😉
I still want to get up to the New England states sometime this fall and will definitely have to drive and bring a trailer! Y’all seem to have the best stuff at fantastic prices. Cheers to another year of thrifting! And next time I get to the farmhouse, I’m putting some antique silver inside a little white ironstone pitcher so they’ll look so pretty like yours! I love that idea. So much better than being tucked in a drawer like they are now.
I love the buttons on your post Jennifer😂. I need to try that. Thanks for joining us and hope to see you in the new year. Happy holidays😃
