Jordan Marsh Blueberry Muffins

Jennifer Howard

Jordan Marsh department stores were a New England staple when I was little. The bakery was known for these delicious blueberry muffins!  This recipe tastes just like the original!

Blueberry Muffin Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup milk 2 cups blueberries extra sugar for tops of muffins.

Flour Bowl

Butter & Sugar

01

Cream together 1/2 cup butter and the 1 cup sugar.

Add Eggs & Vanilla

02

Add 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract; Beat until fluffy.

Add Dry Ingredients

03

Stir in 2 cups flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a separate bowl.

Combine

04

Alternate adding the dry ingredients and the 1/2 cup milk mixture.

Toss

05

Toss 2 cups of blueberries in flour. You can use either fresh or frozen blueberries.  I'm using wild Maine blueberries today.

06

Gently fold the blueberries into the batter.
