How To Dry Hydrangeas

As Summer winds down start thinking about drying your hydrangeas to use in Fall decorating.

This is the easiest method I've tried!

Wait Until the Flowers

Start to change color and the petals feel papery.  Cut stems as long as you can to use in arrangements.

What to do next:

To Dry the Stems

Grab a vase or container and add 2 inches of water.  Add Hydrangeas

What happens:

Drying Process

As the water evaporates the flowers naturally dry out. They also keep their shape!

Fall Garland

Here I took a magnolia garland and tucked in hydrangea, fall floral picks, & eucalyptus.

Fill a Basket

An easy Fall decorating idea is to fill a basket with the hydrangeas and surround it with pumpkins. Pretty and inexpensive!!
