DIY Felt Leaf  Garland

Jennifer Howard | Cottage on Bunker Hill

Here is a cozy DIY project that you can make to decorate your home! This DIY felt leaf garland has a more modern feel to is using muted browns & grays,

01. Neutral Felt

To make this garland I used 10 shades of neutral soft felt.  To make it easy I bought a package w/ all of the colors.

02.  Cut Leaf Shapes

Cut 160 leaf shapes to create a 6 foot garland. I used 10 different colors so 16 of each color.

You can use any color combination of felt that works with your decor or even do a single color of felt. Just make sure you cut an even amount of leaves!

03.

Fold Leaves & Glue

Run a bead of hot glue down the bottom center of the leaf. Fold in half and hold until glue sets.

04.

Create Garland

Add glue to the inside edge of the felt leaf and adhere it to a thin jute rope.

04

Keep Adding Leaves

Glue a matching leaf on the opposite side. Repeat this process for the rest of the garland. Overlap the next set of leaves when you glue them.

The finished garland is around 6 ft long. Perfect for a mantle or dining table!
