make it yourself

Don't toss that empty juice bottle into the recycle bin! Here is a simple way to upcycle it and turn it into a vase. Start with an empty plastic bottle with an interesting shape.
My trick for removing sticky labels is by using a hairdryer. The label will peel off...just don't get the hairdryer too close and melt the plastic bottle!
Here's What To Do:
01
Use a cream colored chalk paint and paint the entire juice bottle.
Here's What To Do:
02
Make sure to paint inside the rim of the juice bottle to disguise the plastic. Let paint dry completely.
03
Dry brush either dark brown chalk paint or an antiquing wax over juice bottle.
Dry brushing is where you dip the tip of your paintbrush into the paint/wax then tap most of it off onto a paper towel before brushing lightly over your project.

For an extra detail I hung a wood leaf ornament around the neck of my new vasw.
It was so easy to upcycle this old juice bottle! You can use it for artificial or real stems (it's watertight)
You have to see how I turned this thrift store find into a Pottery Barn dupe!!
