– Consider the size and shape of the wall where you'll be hanging the gallery wall. – Think about the colors and patterns in your living room. – Choose artwork that has a variety of sizes and styles. – Don't be afraid to mix and match different types of artwork.
Find the Artwork: My #1 tip is to find public-domain artwork that is free to download. I Search the collections on larger museum websites. (The National Gallery of Art for example). If you don't feel like searching you can get a set of digital prints for about $10 on Etsy. I also have 29 free art print downloads on my website that you can use!! Click below.
Don’t be afraid to mix and match frames It can add character and interest to your gallery wall. I used what I already had. Thrift stores are great places to look too.
1. Start by placing the largest pieces first. 2. Group smaller pieces together. 3. Leave some space between the pieces so that the wall doesn't look too crowded. 4. Experiment with different arrangements until you find one that you like.
If you are a Costco member they had the best prices on printing out the larger sizes. (online). All of my prints cost around $85.
