Here are my Christmas 2022 top picks for winter garlands to use in your home this year. Garlands tend to sell out quickly so if you are in the market I would suggest starting looking now.
In fact, a couple of garlands that I had initially added to this were sold out and I had to delete them
What to Look For When Buying Artificial Garlands:
Before you buy new garlands first figure out how much you are going to need to decorate this year. I admittedly always either over or under buy!!
Garlands come in a variety of sizes with 5 and 6 feet being the most commonly available.
Then you have to decide do you want a plain green garland or one that is already embellished. I like to add things to my garland and change up my decorating styles year to year so I usually go with plain green garlands.
Last year I did invest in real-touch garlands for my home. They were pricey but they will last for years and look incredibly real without the mess indoors.

Ways to Decorate with Garlands
Let me show you a few ways that I have decorated my home with garlands in the past to give you some ideas.
Here I hung an old window frame up on my wall and draped a cedar garland over the top. Then I hung my DIY jingle bell wreath in the center. You can see more of the room here.
Over my kitchen windows, I draped 2 garlands across for a festive touch. On the garland, I added dried orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and red berries. For more holiday inspiration check out the rest of my classic red & green kitchen.
I’m going to let you in on my #1 best tip for making full-looking garlands around your door!
Grab some real garlands…they don’t have to be the expensive kind just the basic ones (I get mine at Trader Joe’s) and wrap a faux garland and a real garland together. It’s even easier if you have a pre-lit garland because you won’t have the string lights too!!
