Baskets & Bins
I’ve always had a thing for baskets…just ask my husband!! I love to use rattan baskets and fabric storage bins in my home for decorative storage. I also have quite a plastic bin collection in the basement for all my seasonal storage.
There are plenty of Brightside baskets & bins to choose from. All for super reasonable prices as well.
You will find woven, wire, plastic. wood, and fabric bins to choose from.
Here are a few of my top picks...
Kitchen Organization
What is it about January that makes us want to organize our kitchens? Maybe it’s because of the hectic holidays that are focused on food and cooking and we realize just what isn’t working for us.
Whatever the catalyst to get it all organized there are a ton of new kitchen-organizing products at Target. I love using turntables in my kitchen cabinets ($10) for bottles of sauces…it makes it so much easier to figure out exactly what you have stocked in your pantry.
Lots of pretty wire baskets for your pantry closet. Of course the clear airtight food storage containers…things just seem instantly organized when they are in them, right?
I love the over cabinet organizer ($16) you can hang on the door below your sink to hold your soaps & brushes…I have one but it isn’t this cute!
Closet Organization
Oh my gosh, I have a thing for before and after closet makeovers!! They are so satisfying, aren’t they?? I completely did the Marie Kondo to my closet a couple of years ago after binging her Netflix Tidying Up series. It was one thing that I did for myself that I still appreciate every morning when I’m grabbing my clothes in the wee hours in the dark (my husband works weird hours for a railroad).
Even adding a few closet organization pieces can make a huge difference. One simple change you can make to save space in your closet is switching out plastic hangers for the velvety flocked style of hangers..seriously, you will not believe how much space it saves (especially if you have a smallish closet!)
Here are a few affordable choices that will completely organize your closet.
Utility Organizing Products
I was impressed with all the Brightside storage and organizing products for everywhere in your home. There are a few different-sized wire shelving units to organize your garage or storage area, wheeled utility carts for crafts or a kid’s room, really nice looking trash bins (I’m digging the rose goldish one!), and a must-have if your garage is a mess of kid’s sports equipment, cleats, and balls rolling all over the place…the equipment organizer.($40)
What did you think? Ready to get organized??? Remember, start small…one space at a time…that way it doesn’t seem so overwhelming. My next project to tackle is the junk drawer…someone please tell my husband to stop bringing stray pens home too!!
As always, let me know any things you would like to see me cover this year! I love hearing from you so drop me a message anytime here. (to be honest, I go to bed at like 9 so you won’t hear back until the next day...)

I love all of the great organization items Target has in stock. That utility cart, I have it for my craft room. It really can hold a lot of items.
Those cereal containers are a must have for parents with children. I still have them and we only have one still at home.
Plus, you can never have too many baskets. Right?
